Intell-I-Gence Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 oh so i totally bought my wood today for my unit, so excited. bought some MDF for the edges that wont be seen and then some pine veneered board for the top surface and other pretty bits quick way to spend $220 but well worth it Quote
CBG Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 nice man. How you plan to put it all together?? Quote
Intell-I-Gence Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 well for the mos part its just gonna be screws, except for the top surface because obviousy i don't want to ruin that with a big ol screw in it so i bought myself a couple of brackets that'll do on the inside of it. Very similar to the first post on here i reckon cept that ill throw something on as a speaker stand, though i don't really like having them right in front of me. Havn't quite decided on that one yet Quote
CBG Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 put them where i said dude, on each back corner basically. That diagram is what its meant to be, it'll b gold, and a sub underneath wouldn't go a stray either lol. Quote
Intell-I-Gence Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 lol i gotta find money to pay off the rest that i bought first, thought i would LOVE to throw a sub in there. maybe birthday/christmas hahaha Quote
CBG Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 well if your keen (or financially irresponsible) theres some monitors and/or sub for real cheap @ DJ warehouse atm, gd quality too.Im gunna get a steady job then get a hefty loan, i dont care, i dont drive so i dont need to get a car loan. i can justify spending a lot of money on that. its one positive of not being able to drive lol. defanutley Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 build your dj desk for dj equipment which is standard in size , for exsample measure up a cdj1000 and a technics 1200 and a 12" mixer and what other bits of kit you may wish to place on this desk , the reason I say this is cause you will more than likely upgrade equipment and you will need the space to put it,when building measure twice cut once Quote
CBG Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yeah well thats one of the first things ill be doing, definetily. Quote
DjDennis Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Blodders would it be easy to add a few wheels on the bottom if you need to move it around ?its what I prob would do with that size setup Quote

Intell-I-Gence Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 dude im 90% sure that if you said maybe you should put your desk on wheels most of us arn't going to go for car wheels or anything of the sort... douche Quote
DjDennis Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 car wheels ?I think you better look againI wont bother answer your messages since if you dont know what these wheels are then anything I show you have no idea onhave a nice day Quote
CBG Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 he was laughing at the fact that you illustrated your suggestion with a goofy little picture, you didnt need to, everyone knew thats what you meant lol. Quote
DjDennis Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 lol but he seems to think they are car wheels so thats why I showed itbut some have no idea as it is..anyway you can do what you like its what I have used for many stands in a studio situation that can be moved around when and where is neededall self contained in one Quote
