fuhrermix
Hi Guys, I live in Melbourne and I'm looking at getting into DJing.Been to a few stores in town and the range is overwhelming. My budget is around $1000.00 for two "CDJ's" and a mixer. Are there any brands to be wary of?Thanks,Frank
CBG
CDJ is pioneer's name for a CD player.DJM is their name for a mixer. You won't be able to get to CDJs and a DJM for $1000. In fact you won't be able to get anything for that much. Brand new anyway. If you wish to start mixing. Get Traktor and buy a MIDI contoller, to get you going. It will give the basics of mixing, it just wont teach you to beatmatch.
Buck_Choi
true. that budget is too low for anything brand new. sorry to say. unless you go for some crap no name brand that has less then half the functions and a little to no chance of surviving a trashing if your going to play with them for hours on end =]

JonnyB
i never use them duno why, i find if you have to many tracks on there it takes a rediculous amount of time to load, plus you cant write your track names on them
