Cupe
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) March 28, 2010 — © Atomix Produtions Inc, (http://www.atomixproductions.com) accepts the award for Best DJ Software (VirtualDJ Pro ©), the latest incarnation of its blockbuster software package for Disc Jockeys. By popular vote, VirtualDJ won this award over its competitors such as Serato Scratch Live, and Tracktor Scratch Pro. VirtualDJ is quickly becoming the industry standard for professional DJ’s who value versatility and ease of use, and want to perform advanced audio and video mixes. VirtualDJ 6 is currently the 17th most downloaded software application, of all software available, at CBS © Download.com.“Every DJ around the world knows how important WMC is to our community, we are very excited and appreciative to have won this award, and it speaks volumes of our company’s future direction. We directly attribute this award to the input and participation we receive from our user base,” says Andrew Van Almen, Atomix Productions General Manager. Atomix Productions has also created the world’s first social network exclusively for DJ’s. This network gives DJ’s real time access to data, information, and suggestions, not only via the web, but also from directly within the program during live performances. The system can even make recommendations on what to play next, based on what millions of others DJ’s think, or, based on the data from the specific groups the user is subscribed too. It is truly a game changer and clear leader in innovation, as evident by this recent award.A few of the key features of this new innovative software are as follows; First, NetSearch. The idea is very simple: DJ’s no longer need to limit themselves to media found on their local hard drives. If they have an internet connection, every time they search for media, it will of course show the matching files on their local hard drives, but it will also crawl the Internet, and try to find videos or mp3s available on the net that match the query. A paid subscription model for guaranteed quality results is coming soon. Second, is the new MusicGroups. This allows VirtualDJ users to show the world what they play. It allows the DJ’s to get together with others and share his/her musical tastes, create individual groups, and upload playlists to be displayed in VirtualDJ’s community section. What makes this revolutionary is the fact that people can “subscribe” to the MusicGroups of DJ’s, or groups they like. They will then receive personalized feeds directly inside VirtualDJ. The “feeds” are completely personalized and depending on what kind of music you’ve been playing, it will give you advice on what people from the MusicGroups you subscribed to, would mix into next. Assuring the best “end user” experience possible.Preview VirtualDJ and get additional information at: http://www.virtualdj.com/Company Info: Founded in 2000, Atomix Productions has become the world’s leading developer of DJ performance software. More than 34 million professional DJ’s and music enthusiasts around the world now use Atomix products.

CBG
i dont think vdj runs as a dvs. thats the stupid thing. serato, traktor and live are king and it will remain that way. vdj is for kids. u made the right choice skank
SourceRaver
VDJ can be used as a DVS (ie suports time coded vinyl). You do need some extra hardware. My friend uses a Hercules Console and its pretty much just a dual external sound card. Of course you also need to by the TC vinyls as well.VDJ is definately not free and from memory its arround $300. I think its a great program for begginner Dj's who havnt the cash to buy all the gear just yet.
