aite, for studios, what would you recommend that are <$450~ each?

i own Fostex PCM MkII (or something like that). payed around 700 each for them bad boys but they pump hardcore lol

Ideally you would want the HS80m's, bigger the cone better the response and these speakers have a really flat response, not sure how much they go for for the pair but if its out of your price range you can get the HS50m's same speakers but only a 5" cone.

Those fostexs look decent but I haven't really heard much about them.

Are you getting these for production, or DJ monitoring in your bedroom?

BTW, i would prefer them to be ideal for mainly house, minimal tech, progressive house, and some electro i guess ;P

right then, maybe you'd want some krk 6" s then, apparently they are pretty bass heavy, which is probably what you want instead of flat response, KRKs seem to be choice fpr most bedroom DJs
