Which Licenses?????

Hi All,

I have been reading through the forums trying to find out as much info as I can on legal setup. I know I need to get a Tariff F license from PPCA but which license do I need to get from APRA/AMCOS? Their web site is as clear as mud when it comes to mobile DJing.

Pretty much everyone of them is about legalities of Djing, licenses and all that fun shit, either that or he is fighting with someone, but yeah happy reading

I am pretty sure that I have read through Dennis' posts. He talks about the different licenses but doesn't specify which APRA/AMCOS license to get. I will try to PM him and will post the results when I get them.

Welcome - I'm also in Perth - never know might run in to ya.

You only need the APRA/AMCOS license for copying or transcoding music from cd to mp3. They have a blanket license that's about $800-900/year that covers that.

If you are not changing the format of any of your music you'll be right.
