Not that I know of, you could do it by playing around with the pitch and tempo to get that effect, maybe slight filtering, but it would be a pain. I think I've seen a plug for that maybe called tape stop or something, maybe not though, haha.

Such a good feature. shame its not on ableton yet.

i though about doing it with the tempo but that wopuld suck too much warping involved to get it back in time etc.

Ok I figured it, take your sample, loop or whatever, put it into sampler, go to the pitch/osc tab in the sampler, turn on glide and put glide time to one second or something. A quick low to high held note gives you the effect, but it doesn't stay in time unfortunately, however you can play around with the glide time so, say if you have a drum loop, you can get it to sync back up on the 3rd beat of the bar or the first beat of the next bar, wherever you want it really, you just need to have the glide time right. Zoom in on the arrangement view to see how many seconds/milliseconds it is to a certain beat and BANG, bobs your uncle ;)
