RichoKidd Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Firstly, if this is in the wrong thread, please move to correct! Some of you may have heard, I'm pretty close to picking up my very first residency at my local pub, the only thing they are awaiting is a sold hour long mix of commercial/dance tunes, that I will be doing this weekend. My question is this; In a situation like this, would you recommend Mastering your mix? What would you recommend to make your mix PUMP that little bit extra to grab their attention?I should let you know, I'll be recording directly into my Macbook from Traktor Scratch.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! OxyKon Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Practice, practice and that other little thing called practice. That's basically all I can give you.But one other thing you'll need to do is go through your tracks and see what works with the what AlphaFive 1 Quote
LabRat Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Do nothing. Just get a banging mix together and record it Quote
russell Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 All your tracks will be mastered already. No need to do anything over and above in terms of mastering. AlphaFive 1 Quote
Scottie Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 make sure auto gain is on if you're using traktor Quote
