Gear barriers?

hey guys

Just trying to sort out some information on whether or not it is worth investing in some kind of barrier to stop drunk idiots coming and and trying to play with shit. Having cables and smoke

Machines around the place I'm looking at investing in some kind of barrier, maybe Perspex or something that isn't fully see trough but isn't pitch black either

Have any of you guys ever used or come up with any barriers that are worth while? I honestly don't know where to look

the venue i play at has a massive perspex screen. we call it the aquarium and it seems to work quite well lol unfortunately it seemed like that cost a bit of money but unfortunately if you're not in a venue (djing a house party or private function) it's a bit harder. you'll just need to enforce boundaries

Cheap way could be running a thick-ish rope over poles, like how they line up at the front of clubs

It's not going to physically stop a person but society has it in their heads not to cross the rope

2x armed guards holding AK-47's if you've got the budget. Otherwise some white/black tape (depending on the lighting, white if its night, black if its day) usually does the trick. Have a glove ready to challenge people to a duel that don't abide by said tape

A mean arse face and a don't fuck with me attitude seem to keep em away.

I like to put myself and gear in a defensive position that is not easily accessible and no flat surfaces nearby for drinks to be placed.
