Cupe Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 The one we have now works, but it doesn't really say anything 'DJ' to me. Quote
wrxfiend Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 needs more vinyl! maybe some technics platter dots, headphones etc Quote
OxyKon Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 something like this maybe?i put a filter over the image to blend it in a bit with the current background colour scheme of the site Quote
Kodiak Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Or what fiend was talking aboutLike this second one. Quote
BeatLeSS Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I like the first one, text is a little hard to read in the second one, maybe put it over the right hand side? Quote

BeatLeSS Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Yeah bro that looks sleek. Easy to read too. Quote
Cupe Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Yea they can't just be giant rectangles of colour because it looks terrible when they become a banner. It needs to be png with translucent background and actual edges that aren't hard lines. They look dope but they won't work. Also they are way too tall. Quote
BeatLeSS Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 What dimensions are you after Cupetato?Be pretty sick to have the turntable/vinyl in the middle then fade out to the edges with the logo fading in as the background fades out. I need to install photoshop again. Quote
OxyKon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Ok well I can re edit it tomorrow morning and make sure it is not so tall and has no hard lines on the edges and a translucent backgroundDoes it work for you at all Quote

I need to install photoshop again.I can do something like this, I knew that full colour wouldn't work because of the background colour scheme, and the hard edges I didn't worry about with this as it is just an idea to work off, I have a couple more ideas but work has gotten in the way Quote
Cupe Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 The images are good but we need something that is more of a vector or shit like that nahmean? As far as dimensions, similar to what the current one is. A bit of extra height is ok, maybe +200 px at the very most in heightwidth is gripped by the actual header width so I wouldn't go too much wider Quote
OxyKon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Ok well I could work on something like what you want, I could experiment with graphic overlays on the photo to give it that vector style look that you want Quote
OxyKon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 any better?colours may still be a little strong Quote
BeatLeSS Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I think it needs to fade out on either side, so it blends. Quote
BeatLeSS Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Ahh, like not a border fading kinda thing, but a gradual gradient over a fair distance.. so it looks like it melds back in with the orig site layout.EG where the ".com" is should start fading there. Also would look sick cos the .COM would be full opacity. Quote
OxyKon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 EG where the ".com" is should start fading there. Also would look sick cos the .COM would be full opacity.i only just saw this for some reason lol, the .COM is at the very edge of where the gradient filter finishes, i'll push it a bit further Quote
OxyKon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I pushed the gradient really far this time Quote
