eggssell Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 otay. remember this old gem viewtopic.php?f=41&t=15258&p=232395&hilit=looper#p232395and i decided i was gonna get a kp3.well i came across someone mixing with turnies and an pioneer rmx (i think 1000 or maybe 500). anyways looked into it and thought same price point, and all i need is that roll feature. so really started getting into the rmx 500.then i came across a dj tutor vid on the djm 800 where he shows how you can re-assign a roll. and i was like damn, that would be awesome! thanks ellaskins (again).so that got me thunking why dont i just get myself a djm.......i never wanted to upgrade any kit from my beginners kit cuz i dont use it enough but 1. i want to start mixing more often, and at least record once a month2. i got an aiight bonus and yet to buy myself a good pressie Quote
eggssell Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 so both djm 750 and djm 850 can do what i need, so to me i dont see why i would spend the extra dough.any thoughts or opinions?ALSO two specific questions (of lesser importance):1. DJM 850 is traktor certified, but anyone know if it works with TSP 1?2. if i buy it here in singapore, and ever move back to aus one day is it just a matter of changing the cable Quote
LabRat Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 i think the 850 is just newer than the 750. if i had to, i'd go for the 850 because i'd use it with traktor. 1. i have no idea lol i can't see why not2. i'm about 98% sure you just need the adapter for the different plug to use it here Quote
eggssell Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 cool yeh id use with traktor too. but i have an audio 8.so not sure if the extra 300 bucks (i think thats the diff) is worth it. especially since i already feel like im being frivolous getting it.ill be that kid, all the toys, none of the talent Quote
eggssell Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 sorry thats a 500-650 difference (depending on color). so yeah id need proper reasoning whether to put in more. thats like 3 jordans there! Quote
eggssell Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 confirmed it works with TSP1. cooly doolyanyway any opinions on 750 versus 850 for price difference Quote
LabRat Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Well if you got an audio 8 I'd say save the money and go the 750 Quote
eggssell Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 ahhh cant decide.850 in singapore is same price as australia750 is about 350 cheaper in australiabut it makes the price point diff here only 400...unless they are willing to match on the 750also noticed on store dj the djm 900 is only a hundred bucks more than the 850! Quote
LabRat Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Buy the 900 and get it shipped over. You just gotta get an adapter. The 900's are better than the both Quote
eggssell Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 from memory 900 came first right?must be dropping in price for the next thing.actually rationalised it now though. all i was doing was upping from a rmx 500. so yeh 850 and 950 are overkill. ill try to get the 750 on the cheap Quote
Mitch Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 750 is fine for home use. Also, if you're looking at upgrading to tsp2 I got the pack from store dj for like 80 bucks with 2 time code records Quote
eggssell Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 i wouldnt go tsp 2 unless i went 850. anyways they hooked me up w a discount to the diff between here and aus wasnt significant enough. especially since local warranty, no need to lug in luggage, and i get to have it neow as opposed to when i next go back to syd in jan! \:D/ expect 15 minute rolls in my next mix. bwahahahahaha Quote
LabRat Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 750 is fine for home use. Also, if you're looking at upgrading to tsp2 I got the pack from store dj for like 80 bucks with 2 time code recordsThis doesn't happen anymore. You gotta get it off the website and it's $150 Quote
Cee Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 You guys do now it's a 10 min job which cost $3 to change the plug. Quote
eggssell Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 no need to change plug i live in singapore. if i ever move back ill need to. but its multi voltage so i think I can actually just buy a new cable Quote
