I like the layout and how it works, just thinking that people simply won't switch like they simply won't not use Facebook.

i just jumped on board. i'm importing tracks from Soundcloud for the moment. the tune i had planned to release this week will now be uploaded directly to hearthis so i'll see how it goes. so far it looks sweet and better than soundcloud!

I think most people are switching because of the soundcloud takedowns. I'm making the switch because my SC feed has become a joke. I'm seeing the same tracks everyday and overall it's just become an annoying mess.

I like the look of hearthis so far. It'll be interesting to see what happens on my feed once I start following a few people

The same reason people jump from Whatsapp to another msg'ing app that does the same thing.

I'm not switching entirely just yet. I'm using it to post my 10 piece mix set up because my soundcloud went back to free and I cbf doing shit about it. Also soundcloud changed too many things about their interface that I fucking hate.

hearthis.at seems really intuitive and they appear to be working on it a lot to fix and improve things. Also they have a huge feedback system which will provide what we really need.

I don't think takedowns will be such an issue here because their system links to purchases of all tracks used (it even picked up a remix I did and listed it) - I assume that's what it's for, rather than fucking everyone over it just provides links to artists (which is what they want $$)

Overall a fucking good idea, and it looks like they're doing it well so far.

An FYI for anyone who doesn't know or is interested… there's an app for this called Soundflake. It's a nice clean app and pretty easy to navigate. The player looks nice and clean too. I'm happy with it so far as an alternative to soundcloud

As you sell on hearthis.at, we track it, and every tenth sale goes to hearthis.at. Example. You sell one track for 1 Euro. 1 Euro of that sale would go straight to you, but your sales count would now be 1. Then you sell another Track for 1 Euro. Again 1 Euro of that sale would again go straight to you, and your sales count would now be 1. As more orders come in, the payments continue to go to you and your sales count continues to grow by 1 of each sale. Upon the sale of your tenth track, your sales count would have 10, so that 1 Euro sale, and only that sale, would go to hearthis.at.
