bonez99er Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 LEGENDARY DJ/PRODUCER SASHA TO HEADLINE THE FIRST OF CHINESE LAUNDRY’SGARDEN PARTIES THIS NOVEMBERHe’s the DJ icon fans crowned ‘Son Of God’. Madonna and The Chemical Brothers wanted remixes. He’s held residencies at NYC’s Twilo, and newer clubs like Ibiza’s We Love... Sundays. The name Sasha needs little introduction – and now the pioneering DJ is headed back to Australia for a national tour, including headlining the first of Chinese Laundry’s rebooted Garden Parties on Saturday, 1st November.Chinese Laundry’s Garden Parties originally kicked off back in 2009 – headlined by none other than Sasha himself, so it’s fitting that the legendary DJ will be headlining this event once more.Currently in the studio working on brand new tunes and with a Kwabs remix due soon via Asylum Records, the Grammy-nominated, Welsh-born producer has been voted into nearly every top 10 of DJ Mag’s annual poll since 1997, his peerless command of the dancefloor breaking boundaries over three decades now. In August, Sasha had clubbers under his spell at Randall Island’s Electric Zoo festival (US), while future dates include Benidorm (Spain) and ADE (Amsterdam) come October... all before making his way down under. Sasha first fell under dance’s spell back at Manchester’s infamous Haçienda club, earning his chops at illegal raves and behind the club’s own decks. A cult-like household name in the UK thanks to 1994’s The Renaissance Mix Collection and the epic double CD Northern Exposure (Ministry Of Sound), it wasn’t long before savvy pop acts like Madonna caught on – Sasha’s Ultraviolet remix of ‘Ray Of Light’ quickly becoming a global club hit. Collaborations with BT and Junkie XL, music for PlayStation, 2002’s ambitious Delta Heavy Tour of the US... Sasha barely had time to take a breath. Then in 2004 he unleashed Involver – #1 on Billboard’s Electronic chart, the 10 track breaks compilation seeing him take on artists like UNKLE, Spooky and Felix da Housecat. Packing an emotional punch and one of the most seasoned tastemakers of the craft, the sounds of Sasha are one of a kind. The second of the Garden Parties will follow two weeks later, with Sasha’s previous collaborator John Digweed taking over headline duties, making Chinese Laundry THE place to be this spring.SASHA GARDEN PARTYSATURDAY, 1ST NOVEMBER 201412PM – 9PMCHINESE LAUNDRYSASHA (UK)LUKE CHABLEKERRY WALLACE & MATT WEIRBEN MORRISSTRANGE CLOUDS CREW (RODSKEEZ, MARS MONERO, RENO)Tickets from - http://chineselaundryclub.com.au/whats- ... rden-partySlip Inn Hotel, Cnr King & Sussex Streets, SydneyInstagram: chineselaundryclubFacebook: chineselaundryclubTwitter: LaundrySydney Quote
