ChevChelios Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 haha as much as that would be good, theres no chance candy's crowd would like the kind of music I'd play, and I definately would change my style just to fit with theirs. I cant beleive Droid Sector's playing there, kind of disappointing, he would have suited Low Society much better Quote
JonnyB Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 candy's are having a few big dubstep names playign, skrilex played the other weekend Quote
ChevChelios Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 pfft, skrillex isn't dubstep, hes just an idiot taking advantage of a horrible fad Quote
JonnyB Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 you get so negative towards any dubstep artists that dosent make music you like:( lighten up a bit it may not be what you classify as dubstep, but its similar, even if it is a horrible fad, he packed out candy's more then most people do. Quote
BeatLeSS Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Agreed, it's that horrible fad that i'm beginning to enjoy dubstep Quote
ChevChelios Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Not exactly, I have massive respect for people in the scene that make jump up shit, they're doing what they do and being successful doing so, Skrillex however, I have no respect for. Hes gone from a failed emo/metalcore band, to his solo acoustic project which I actually really liked (Sonny) and now hes just jumped on the bandwagon to make money off of it, making generic shitty music for the masses. Im sure you have a different opinion on it, but thats the way I see it.I think we should stop this derail now though If you want you PM me your rebutle Quote
Gandy Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 i heard dubstep when it was in its infancy and thought wow, id really have to be tripping balls to enjoy this specially with the drops/wobbles/chunkyness and havnt really listened to it since but its really starting to pick upso does that mean more people are gettin into tripping or i should be listening to it to expand my musicalular vocabulary Quote
eggssell Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 i cant remember how old you are gandy but i do remember there werent many thirty yr olds. anywho considering dubstep began in late nineties and really rolling by 2001-2 i doubt you saw its infancy. your prob talking bout its mainstream infancy Quote
ChevChelios Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 id really have to be tripping balls to enjoy this specially with the drops/wobbles/chunkynessIf you heard this then you didn't hear it in its infancy, didn't used to be like that.Aaaaaanyway, post some pics ey. Quote
JonnyB Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 yeah grandy, dubstep used to be alot more chilled i think. the earliest dubstep i listen to was stuff like skream - traped in a bubble, heard it loved it, and ive pretty much loved all dubstep since then, and that was only 3 or 4 years ago, it was around long before that too. Gandy Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 oh well dont i look like noob now, must of been mainstream dubstep then my bad, pics are on my fan page Quote
