MickyG Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I Use something like this,http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HPM-POWER-BO ... tem588ffbc you can pick them up from computer part shops cheaper than this, recyclers even cheaperThis will also give you a 20amp overload instead of 10, most cheap boards when they heat up will switch overloads at 8 or 9 amps. This can be a problem if you are running lights and sound from 1 socket. Quote
wrxfiend Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 From Bunnings:you're a smart whale aren't you! cheers, on my way to bunnings after work.Legend. Quote

Quote
Mitch Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I think most houses just have 10amp unless you get 15amp points wired in specifically (such as what we have done in our shed) Dont quote me on that though Quote
SourceRaver Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Yeah...some spas require 15 amps so it's not uncommon for a sparky to hook one up in your home. Connecting a 20 amp or 15 amp power board to a 10 amp socket bothers me. Plugging in devices till the 10 amp socket starts to melt doesn't seem wise. Quote
