surprised there is no sound foam to help with echoes

im not surprised at all. this studio was built from the ground up to to serve one purpose.

most rooms have acoustic foam because the room was not designed around music, just for living.

i see there is some dampening on the ceiling.

There is dampening in the ceiling as ysm said.

Also the insulation on the wall would be sound proof.

* the whole room is floating off the ground. So all 3 rooms are actually treated really well

pretty neat aye. i remember moby did the same thing building a studio in his New York apartment highrise. built a room suspended in a room.

pretty good way to make sure you don't piss off the neighbours with 3am jam.

This is now a life long goal. Live in apartment, with a purpose built sound proof room. For the purpose of 3am jams - and bringing the ladies back!
