LabRat Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 So I got an email and I'm on my final strike with copyright (as spitfire) before they shut down my account. I want to unsubscribe from my premium account. Has anyone done it and how easy / hard is it? Did you also get your money back? Quote
AlexJ Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 yeah i have now recieved 4 take down emails from themhow many did you have before they sent you a final strike notice? Quote
LabRat Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Not that many I don't think. I've had 3 tracks removed this year and one other one a few years ago. I sent them an email so I'll wait for the response. I'm sick of the shit. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed my other remixes hold up ok on my other account. Soundcloud is pissing me right offOh I just remembered too… today I saw a car with the license plate "NEWLUNG". I thought of you for some reason… Quote

I thought of you for some reason…i just keep getting messages about mixes. not remixes generally some silence and a generic filter works well thoughI got a take down notification and the song was well and truly in the middle of the mix so I think they're getting more vigilant trying to keep publishers happy. Ironically from my experience most producers get just as pissed because peoples mixes are being taken down that involve their tunes. Quote
LabRat Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 I have a feeling they're being reported. Yesterday I deleted all my remixes so if I get reported now I have a case to argue Quote
Cupe Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 yea my thoughts were they'd have to be reported, because soundcloud already checks when you upload..Maybe copyright holders are scanning keywords in tracklist descriptions on mixes?I'm just waiting for something of mine to get hit Quote
LabRat Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I follow Peep This on facebook and they're in the same position I am. it's super lame. i'm just waiting for something else to pop up now Quote
