I wear ear plugs the entire time I'm at work. Not sure of the levels in the vehicle but it is LOUD! The two way radios we use have an output in excess of 100dB and the hand piece is clipped to my collar. Sometimes I have to hold it to my ear to hear what is being said... My earplugs must be very efficient.

I have annual hearing tests and my hearing has remained the same in the 7 years I've been here.

Purchased some of these just last week. Waiting for them to arrive, will not be going clubbing/doofing again without them as per Mitch's recommendation.

This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time, I've been going out to clubs and doofs for about 8 years, exposing my ears to sounds loud enough for my body to vibrate to, it's time I look after them so I can continue doing so for a long time.

I got some of those in Melbourne. I wear them everywhere now and they're just a wee bit better than the foam ones lol they're a bit uncomfortable when putting headphones over the top

Most people also do not insert earplugs far enough into the ear. The normal disposable ones (little foam cylinders) should be inserted ALL the way into your ear. If there are any bits that protrude out and you can see them when you are looking at someone straight on, they are not in far enough.
