ay fellas, FINALLY! starting to use beatport now just wondering whats the best way to navigate through everything and try to find the freshest/newest/popular music.

Unlike iTunes where id pretty much just click the music tab then go down to dance and there they all are.

But i know theres a much wider range on beatport and want to get the best stuff on there..

It the digital version of crate digging.... Find a genre and play song after song until you find ones you like. I tend to stick to the top 100 of each genre or maybe some of the playlist or releases. But I find many of the releases that are on there are pretty crap. I don't often buy full albums on there unless it is full of songs I like and there is value in buying the lot. I did recently buy the Toolroom Miami 2014 album 66 songs plus 3 mixes for $24 (minus my 20% discount I used at the same time). Also grabbed the 2013 one while I was there.

I do the opposite of drc1. Browse by labels / artists I like and dig through there.

In fact I do most of my digging from soundcloud / dj sets, then just buy off beatport/Juno/etc.

I don't buy anything off iTunes.

Mainly use beatport, Juno or trackitdown for electronic purchases.

What type of music are you after?

I started using iTunes years ago and it was just so easy cause my Library is all setup in playlists, but the range of music is just not good enough. Ive had a fidle around with it so far, i guess ill catch on soon

Im mainly looking into Deep House Mitch

This is pretty much what i do, ill start by going through the artists i like and then make my way through the labels that they're on, also when you click on the tracks on beatport and it shows you the album etc it is on, it'll usually have a list of recommended tracks just below it, i've always found that to be very helpful with finding good material

is there any easier way of downloading the tracks, rather then doing it one by one?

Beatport pro app if you're on mac

There is a beatport downloader on PC too. I think it gives you the link at the checkout?
