Rekordbox Stuck on "Preparing"

Having a problem importing a folder into rekordbox

It stays on the "Preparing" little dialogue box forever and when I cancel it the whole program crashes

The tunes I'm importing from are on my computer's hard drive and they all play perfectly

Any ideas?

You could take a backup of your database, then try import it into a fresh install. To do this:

Take a copy of the following folders somewhere (make sure you know which one is which)

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Pioneer (if it exists)

Delete the above folders from the original (above) location

Open rekordbox (ensuring updated to latest version) and try import that folder.

If it works, there is something wrong with your old database files. Let me know how you go

I tried your suggestion but it didn't work. Ended up opting for an entire uninstall, redownload then restart and it all working now.
