burst a ball i want to say up front i am noob about all this so please speak in dumb ass english

second of all i have no idea if what i am saying is actually a thing

basically i am sick of when i change internet providers i have to go into every farking account i belong to and change the email. Now i know the easy solution is just use a gmail account. But honestly im not a fan of those public emails.

so i know when you buy domains or webspace (?) and shit you can have emails w that domain name. Like cupe's ausdjforums.com emails.

how much does it cost?

And what does it involve?

I figure i will always need an email, well at least until they start installing zuckerberg communication chips in the back of our necks. So i thought it was worth looking at.

If you want eggs@ausdjforums.com I can give it to you for free m8

Otherwise it's the cost of a domain which is around $10ish dollars a year (most often 2 years initially upfront) then you configure it in hosting account.

Not sure if you HAVE to have hosting to setup email accounts or not, someone can confirm that (I've always bought both together so not sure).

Not much, but like I said if you want an @ausdjforums.com one I'm happy to set it up for you for da freez

I did read that. But seriously this is a huge amount of effort to go to just because of some perceived paranoia or hipster mentality of refusing to use a popular service that does the job perfectly fine.

I don't know if its paranoia, its more back when I used public email (hotmail) it would always inevitably end up in spam. since I stopped using it about 14 years ago, I have never had spam which I couldnt trace exactly where it came from.

things may have improved since then but for now that's my experience with public email.

in terms of "hipster mentality of refusing to use a popular service", I never go pearl jam and just say no for no purposes. in reality they were still controlled by the masses they just did the opposite. stupid...

I do have my opinions and personal beliefs which is why I don't go for any scumerberg stuff because the guys a dick.

Make sure you get your hosting with enough space - This will be an issue as time progresses, and by the sounds of it you'll be having it for a while. Emails can take up some crazy space once they start getting attachments on it, etc.

tats cool ill move to a mailbox on my pc

anyways yeh i think i will take this path. hope its easy

i did says its not owned by anyone.

for some reason net virtue is not taking any .com regos. keeps saying unavailable. even tried a random jumble of numbers and letters.

oh well may just register it at netregistry and then come over to net virtue for the hosting
