Looking at buying a new controller and have mainly been looking at these two. Can anyone give me a heads up which controller will be the better option performance wise etc?

depending on what and where you plan on using it. they are pretty different imo.

if this helps at all. some specs of the two.

So anyway, if you really wanted to use CD's for eg you would have to go with the XDJ.

im not really sure what you want to use them for.

Check out the specs and throw out more specific questions anytime mate :thumleft:

Hey guys I know that the post's been cold for a few months, but I was also looking to get a XDJ-R1.

I want to learn on pioneer gear (coming from traktor) and the xdj seems to be the closed thing to CDJ's that I can afford hah.

Only query is, is there a new version of this controller coming out as it's over a year old now?

Any ideas?

Why not get a hold of an sx or sr? It's a serato controller but has the common pioneer functionality. The r1 is a cool idea but the sr or sx may be a better option

I'm in Brisbane buddy.

I currently use an S4 but I want to steer away from using the laptop (to an extent - still want to run my F1 etc).

I'd prefer CDJ's but my budget is only about $2000.
