LabRat
hey Traktor people, i just jumped on board this digital train and it's already too complicated for me lolevery time i load a new track into Traktor the tempo resets to the standard bpm, rather than staying at +1.6% (for example) like on the cdjs. is there a way to change this so it works like the cdjs? Mitch
I swear I remember seeing that setting in the deck preferences when I had/used traktor. Can't remember exactly where it is off the top of my head atm though..It will come to me
yizzle
so far the only way i have found is to Edit the track manually in Traktor.set it to your desired bpm and traktor will run it at that. always.you can always restore the tracks to the original bpm at anytime via Edit mode.maybe an idea for making a mix. terrible idea for playing live. LabRat
It seems pretty strange. I also had a failed attempt searching the web but I'll keep looking
yizzle
ye most web results seem to be around people with outdated versions of traktor etc.in my post above. it turns out if you are not using iTunes as your source. You can create playlists and edit the bpm the way i mentioned above with out changing the metadata of the original file.its still overly complex for a simple thing though. Mitch
Every time he loads a track, the pitch on that deck goes to 0. We want it to stay at wherever it was when the previous track
eggssell
is this w HID (?) i assume? And not timecode?if so then yeh sorry i wouldnt have a clue.
LabRat
I don't know whether it's an issue with time code or not but using the traktor controller it resets back to zero, even though the pitch slider is not at zero. I'm gonna make a post to the NI forums today sometime and I'll keep you posted if I get any results
eggssell
I would assume it wouldnt be the case in time code as you are not controlling the pitch from within the softwareas opposed to HID you are just using the cdjs as midi contollers for the software
