SolDios Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Just looking for some advice on speaker purchasing. Basically I've decided more against getting a replacement 15's as I want to keep it reliable, and considering I barely worked them there's no way it should have broke that coil.I've got an offer from a friend who works for Osmond Electronics who are selling off some ex-hire stuff, although the units look great and there running celestian drivers and such im worried about the whole "Ex-Hire" thing.Budget is around 700-1000 but am wanting to "preferably" keep it cheap, just really looking for some staples so I at least have the ability to do house parties. The speakers would be used with a 18" 1000w RMS sub.I've been having a close look at these mostly:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-Mackie-T ... 25a&_uhb=1Any suggestions? SolDios Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 I'm just worried that the ex-hire has been thrashed mostly and will blow on me a few months down the track. Quote
yizzle Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 doesn't ex-hire also make warranties void? Quote
BeatLeSS Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 doesn't ex-hire also make warranties void? It'd all depend on how the invoicing is done and retailer approaches their stocking.IF the business never purchased the equipment themselves to then hire out, then technically you would have a receipt for a new set. Pretty dodgy way of doing it but i've seen it done before. Quote
wrxfiend Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Checkout the jaycar pa speakers, cheap but decent? Quote
