After five sell-out years, Ministry of Sound Classics returns to ivy

Ministry of Sound presents the ultimate New Year’s Day party this year, with the return of Classics at ivy. A line up of Australia’s most loved DJs will be digging into their archives to deliver sun-soaked party vibes and sonic brilliance all day, then taking the celebrations well into the night - the perfect start to 2014!

Classics NYD is the discerning clubber’s party playground - covering everything from dance music’s disco origins, through to the classic house tunes of the 90s and the electronic revolution of the new millennium, all set in the surrounds of Sydney’s premier indoor/outdoor venue, ivy.

Taking over two areas of the world-class urban oasis, this year Classics welcomes to the decks a who’s who of Australia’s clubbing identities, with the unstoppable force of Tonite Only headlining the courtyard, alongside returning hometown hero Bass Kleph, Beni (Riot In Belgium), John Course, Trix & Goodfella, Ben Morris and Shamus. The Den will host deep house legends, Simon Caldwell, Robbie Lowe, John Devecchis, and Trent Rackus delivering the tunes that have made them favourites of Australia’s clubbing community over the years.

So skip the dusty fields and toilet queues in what’s tipped to be the hottest summer yet, and celebrate this New Year’s Day in style with Ministry of Sound Classics.
