Mitch Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I have a 2013 retina macbook. Don't own an NI soundcard though..From memory russell has a retina macbook also, and runs traktor scratch. Hopefully he sees this Quote
eggssell Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 cool thanks. I should have said in particular the older ones Audio 8 and Audio 4. The newer ones are fine. Quote
OxyKon Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I've got a 2013 Retina Macbook pro and i'm running Traktor A10 on it, havent had a problem on it yet, seems to work pretty good Quote
eggssell Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 cool. yeh apparently its something to do with the usb 3 cards on them, didn't work with the legacy sound cards. so audio 10 and audio 6 should have no probs. I didn't have anymore time to dig but I did find one post I think on djtechtools or NI saying the problem was fixed.but a part of me still thinks they are not going to make it easy for me to stick with audio 8 and version 1. eggssell Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 just updating in case any cats end up finding this thread while googlingI can confirm the Audio 8 (and I assume all legacy NI sound cards) will work on 2013 MacBook pros. you just need to make sure you have the latest firmware. else when you plug the audio 8 in the lappy reboots itself Quote
