Kodiak Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Interesting mix by Smashbeat, Would love to know if it was done via Ableton or CDJ/Controller? If the later than was technically excellent. Although on a personal note I don't like this type of mix. Great if you are on a daily dose of Ritalin, but to me it has no progression. And to me the journey is more important than the technical aspects.I really liked the next 2. Code of Silence mix was great, even though it skipped a song (well it was there for about 3 seconds). I also thought SnatchMD's use of the accapellas as the most creative. Quote

Personally it is these type of things I learn the most from cause I am pushed out of my comfort zone. In this case it was the use of accapellas. I may have failed but was good having a go. But even better is the ability to see how others have used the exact same material. I look forward to more of these. For me prizes are not the incentive for participation. Hope it was also seen as a success? Surely it generated a bit more traffic to social media and the forum? Plus gained one new member (that I'm aware of) directly cause of this competition. Quote
