OxyKon Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 What began as an ordinary night in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday, August 27th, ended in tragedy at The House of Blues. Doors opened at 8pm last night at the nightclub near Fenway Park for one of Zedd’s final August tour stops. By 1am, those doors had shut and would be shut for good. It’s been reported that police responded to calls of drug overdoses at 12:42 after the venue’s on-site medical unit transported patients to local hospitals. One female was subsequently pronounced dead while one male and one female both remain in serious condition as of this morning. The House of Blues has closed doors and will be shutting down operations on their own terms after the unfortunate fatality and injury. There is no word on when it will reopen, but a spokesman for the club had the following to say:“As always, the safety of our guests is our top priority. Last evening, there were guests at our venue in need of medical treatment during the performance. They were assisted by Boston EMS as well as on-site emergency medical personnel and then transported to local medical facilities. One individual has unfortunately passed away and our thoughts go out to their family and friends for their loss. This matter is under investigation and we are continuing to work with local officials.”Source: dancingastronaut.com Quote
