SolDios
So one piece of machinery I have been meaning to write up about lately is the SCS 2900. Looks nice huh? But what if I told you it also had full rekordbox like support (In the form of engine) as well as hot cues, jog wheel tension adjust as well as auto loops AND hot cues? Nice ehy? especially when you can pick up an open box version for $719, or $800 brand new. There has been some debate lately as to if these are a pioneer killer? and in some ways, YES, but in other ways not at all.In comparison to the cdj 850's and 900's, yes, this knocks them out the park. Mainly due to the fact that they are CHEAPER than 850's and give you the features of 2000's in a 900 body. Seriously. But in comparison to the cdj 2000, it doesn't quite cut the mustard. Sure it has all the same features, but the main let down is the screen, although you can use an ipad to have a full 10.1" screen to load tracks to both decks. CDJ enthusiasts like the joy of having no big major screen. Denon have done very well with this unit in the mid range market, and good on them for actually giving us a viable alternative. However they have let us down abit in the pro standard. Denon staff, if you ever read this, you have a great opportunity to rise above the competition, even if it makes your prices a little higher you could still rise to top of the market.TLDR;#Great unit, great price, doesn't quite beat the 2000's. #Someone needs to knock pioneer pull there fingers out there ass and increase there build quality, instead of flooding the market with all these ridiculous models.
