KITO [Perth - Disfigured Dubz]

http://www.myspace.com/thisiskito

Kito is the latest rising star of a growing young dubstep elite. Keeping company with the likes of Skream, Kulture and Joker, her sound has been described by BBC Radio1’s Mary Anne Hobbs as “a poetic take on dubstep”.

In 2008, Kito returned from a self imposed hiatus, an intricate break which saw her developing her unique sound, on return, we were rewarded in fantastic fashion with her decisive tune ‘What If’. On hearing ‘What If’, Skream; the dubstep scenes number one artist; immediately identifying consummate talent signed the release and Kito’s ‘Cold’ to his label ‘Disfigured Dubz’ the start of the big events to follow.

Following on the success of her first release, Skream has also picked up Kito’s most recent tracks for a huge EP including ‘LFO’ featuring the vocals of ‘Reija Lee’ and ‘On The Floor’, 'Don't wanna lose you' and a 'Vaccine' remix of Cold, tracks which have really catapulted Kito onto the worlds stage.

Kito’s fresh, unique music has received support globally from a number of the scenes leading artists such as Skream, Mary Anne Hobbs, Tes La Rok, N-Type, Mala, Loefah plus many more established artists, an already large and ever growing fan bass plus encouraging press articles and reviews including NME.

Well known for an exciting, fresh and precisely clean production sound, complementing her own music Kito’s DJ sets are nothing short of amazing, an accomplished DJ having spent years gaining experience and perfecting her skills, her accolades to date include the “DJ Idol” competition at Roller (Australia’s longest running Drum n Bass night) and winning “The best new talent” in the Perth Dance Music Awards 2005.

In demand, Kito has also recorded exclusive mixes for the UK’s number one station “BBC Radio 1” with “Mary Anne Hobbs”, one of the most tuned into dubstep shows worldwide. And back home Kito has also preformed on one of Australia’s largest national radio stations ‘Triple J’, already one of the most sort after and widely known current artists, you can get in touch to get her exciting new sounds live for your event and share in the fun.

DUST [Melb]

http://www.myspace.com/dj_dust

DJ Dust has been making waves around the Melbourne scene for nearly 8 years now and is one of the scenes most established players.

Humble beginnings playing Hip Hop and drum and bass monthly at Black Cat and occasionally at the Lounge and her flawless and highly technical approach to mixing led to Dust supporting some of the biggest names in drum and bass and dubstep to grace our shores including Marky, Storm, Marcus Intalex, Doc Scott, Calibre, Klute, Grooverider, Die, Clipz, A Sides, Hudson Mohawke and Headhunter.

Her consistency was rewarded with worldwide recognition by the organisations Junglist Sistaz and Hardstep Sistaz, inclusion into the mighty Elementz Sound collective and so many regular bookings that she was titled "Melbourne's First Lady of Drum and Bass" in a gig write-up.

Dust has run International events with Joe Seven for Klute, Storm, Calibre & Mark Pritchard, Doc Scott & Marcus Intalex and also promotes local hip hop night Anytime with Joe Seven and Dan Loot and drum and bass night Polaroid with MC Lowqui, Joe Seven and Consequence.

FIEND [Melb]

Dj Fiend was first bit by the DJ bug in 2002, fueled by a passion for Drum and Bass and encouraged by her older brother – a popular Drum and Bass DJ in her hometown of Brisbane.

Starting her DJing career as a resident for the famed Krachmacher parties and later as a resident DJ for 40hZ parties at The Lounge and part of the Realtime crew DJ Fiend quickly became one of the most in-demand drum and bass DJs in Melbourne.

Her killer dance floor oriented selection and tight mixing skills led to her supporting the likes of Storm, SS, Kenny Ken, Zinc, Ed Rush and Moving Fusion among others and playing gigs in Perth, Adelaide, Tasmania and Broome.

After a brief hiatus to develop her career as a successful designer, DJ Fiend is back on the scene with a renewed enthusiasm for Drum and Bass as well as Dubstep and UK Funky.
