Good cases

Hey computer dudes, anybody up with decent cases these days?

I have decent gear in my rig now but feel it's running a bit hot and the layout is retarded in my old mid thermaltake case.

Looking for something with a bit more room and decent cooling, not water cooling though just regular.

Cooler master make some good cases.

the CoolerMaster HAF series are pretty decent (as HAF stands for high air flow lol). i have the HAF 922 and have had really good temps with it.

you're looking around the 150 - 200 ish for a decent case. you can go cheaper but just look for something with a front, back and top fan.

I have a Coolermaster HAF 932(?) I'm quite happy with that. Had a 20cm on top, although I took mine off and have my radiator and 2 x 12cm fans there instead.

I have built numerous PC's and have found the Coolermaster ones to be excellent. My HTPC is in an Antec case which is pretty good but not add good add my desktop case.

Fractal cases are awesome for a more reserved look. I would have liked one for my HTPC.

i should also add. if you are wanting better cooling, look into cooling solutions for you parts.

water cooling has come along way, CPU liquid cooling can now be done without needing to service any parts or liquid.

Just install and run

you may not need a new case... but hey... newer cases are sexy.

Nah my case is prerrty ancient man, very cramped as well which i doubt it good for airflow.

My i5 idles at like 30 i think which is pretty high.

30 is awesome. That's not much over ambient.

Hmm yeah just checked it again now sitting on 27 been running all day.

I had seen guys running 10s and stuff, assuming that would be pretty crazy cooling systems.

Mine idles at about 40. But my ambient is higher (nearly midnight and still 17 degrees in winter)

Edit: should add mine is overclocked to 4.5ghz

My mates got the full tower version of yours and its absolute boss 22c at max load.

He uses this water cpu cooler.

The Antec is a dust magnet though. All those vents with no filter on them.

That would help a fair bit i think, my tower has the bit up the top for liquid cooling as well.
