Both have Quantized features

Both have built in sound cards and can record directly to software

DJM-2000 has 6 LAN connections on back of mixer

DJM-900 has 1 LAN connection and requires an ethernet switch to connect multiple units and access a computer running Rekordbox

DJM-900 has 6 Sound Color Effects that have a hi-pass and low-pass control with 1 knob

DJM-2000 has 6 INST FX that uses 2 knobs to control effect

DJM-900 has X-pad (touch effects pad)

DJM-2000 has 6.5" touchscreen that can control MIDI loops in software, allows for 7 channel cross fader

DJM-900 has 13 beat effects on the right side

DJM-2000 has 11 effects in the top center and has hi, mid, and low control on the effect

In the simplest terms the djm 2000 essentially has an efx 1000 level set of effects built in.

Considering it costs more than the 900 and 900/800's are club standard there is no real reason to get a 2000 unless you are after more effects.

Allen & Heath x:one series are my favourite mixers... analogue so the vinyl sounds lovely.

DB series are digital mixers with effects. The DB4 looks seriously awesome. I don't use effects enough to merit it though.

X:one 92 for me some time int he near future.
