boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Thanks heaps bud. Very helpful info. Now for what its worth, which one is best value for money?Only using it to stuff around at home. Quote
Mitch Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 They are both overkill for 'mucking around' at home. You could go a DJM 700/750 and be fine. As for between the 900 and 2k, the 900 will be more than adequate Quote
boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Yeah i know. I just hate buying stuff and then 6 mths later something better is out. I just want something that is expandable and future proof for a few yrs. Quote
SolDios Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I personally love the djm 800.There pretty cheap now and you cant beat dedicated filters. Quote
boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 After looking at the reviews i am leaning towards the djm2000. Quote
SolDios Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I really personally dont like the djm2000 much, too big and the effects section is un-necessarily complicated. also having high pass and low pass on different buttons is frustrating to me. Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 In the simplest terms the djm 2000 essentially has an efx 1000 level set of effects built in.Considering it costs more than the 900 and 900/800's are club standard there is no real reason to get a 2000 unless you are after more effects. Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 The 2000 is super fun to play on though, the effects are great. If i had the coin i would probably get one. Quote
boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Thats the thing i want something for the effects. And by the sounds of things djm 2000 is the way for maximum effects! Quote
boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 What are they like terms of quality compared to the pioneer Quote
boostedVT Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Hrrm interesting. I had never herd of them before. What type of price point do they have? Quote
Mitch Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 A&h are top notch. Just not used as much as pioneer in aus Quote
russell Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Allen & Heath x:one series are my favourite mixers... analogue so the vinyl sounds lovely. DB series are digital mixers with effects. The DB4 looks seriously awesome. I don't use effects enough to merit it though. X:one 92 for me some time int he near future. Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 A&h sneaking into a pioneer thread again i see. Quote
OxyKon Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I quite like the 900's, the radio station i play at has one, cant really make a real case for the 2000 though, it looks really cool, but until i get a chance to play around with 1, yeah Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Yeah they are nice, as far as i have seen though not worth an upgrade from an 800. Quote
