boostedVT
Thanks heaps bud. Very helpful info. Now for what its worth, which one is best value for money?Only using it to stuff around at home.
Mitch
They are both overkill for 'mucking around' at home. You could go a DJM 700/750 and be fine. As for between the 900 and 2k, the 900 will be more than adequate
boostedVT
Yeah i know. I just hate buying stuff and then 6 mths later something better is out. I just want something that is expandable and future proof for a few yrs.
SolDios
I personally love the djm 800.There pretty cheap now and you cant beat dedicated filters.
boostedVT
After looking at the reviews i am leaning towards the djm2000.
SolDios
I really personally dont like the djm2000 much, too big and the effects section is un-necessarily complicated. also having high pass and low pass on different buttons is frustrating to me. GREMM1S
In the simplest terms the djm 2000 essentially has an efx 1000 level set of effects built in.Considering it costs more than the 900 and 900/800's are club standard there is no real reason to get a 2000 unless you are after more effects. GREMM1S
The 2000 is super fun to play on though, the effects are great. If i had the coin i would probably get one.
boostedVT
Thats the thing i want something for the effects. And by the sounds of things djm 2000 is the way for maximum effects!
russell
you should look at the allen & heath DB4

boostedVT
Hrrm interesting. I had never herd of them before. What type of price point do they have?
Mitch
A&h are top notch. Just not used as much as pioneer in aus
russell
Allen & Heath x:one series are my favourite mixers... analogue so the vinyl sounds lovely. DB series are digital mixers with effects. The DB4 looks seriously awesome. I don't use effects enough to merit it though. X:one 92 for me some time int he near future.
GREMM1S
A&h sneaking into a pioneer thread again i see.
OxyKon
I quite like the 900's, the radio station i play at has one, cant really make a real case for the 2000 though, it looks really cool, but until i get a chance to play around with 1, yeah
GREMM1S
Yeah they are nice, as far as i have seen though not worth an upgrade from an 800.
