AUSTRALIAN DJ FORUMS

Things like this are done in the upper echelons of famous DJ's/performers already.

Someone 'else' has always written the hooks and lyrics for the people you see in the spotlight.

It's just not advertised as a platform for normal people (until now).

This kind of thing gives bad rep to the industry. The producers who put in the hard work all get thrown under the same image that the industry is fake/corrupt in a sense

yeah that's the point. it makes a mockery of anyone who tries to learn their art and struggles to get heard.

smart business model is smart.

while it is disappointing i am surprised it too THIS LONG to be made available to the public

there is no tracks for sale, i can only gather that its just so popular. if i was a producer with some time on my hands i would churn out the basic mundane/half assed tracks that i would never release under my own name for some other punter to buy. Pocket some cash while practicing skills for my own work. If track gets famous, who cares, you know you have the goods just got to market it correctly

i can see this type of business eventually adopting a rate and buy system by which tracks are release on site for say 1 week adn are allowed to be voted on by public then made available for sale price based on rating. one price fits all doesnt make sense.

Or you just actually have to get in touch with them to tell them what you want. that way no-one will know you bought it as it hasn't been publicly available before the purchase

If you were a producer with time on your hands and any self respect you'd be working on your own material.

That still doesn't make it acceptable.

yeah its a smart business model perhaps. but its not a quick product and every product is different. it takes time to be creative and produce music of a high standard. you can't sell the one track to 10 people to release for 300 or something achievable for their market. which means one track would have to be like 3-5k i reckon and you'd only be able to pump one out a week max..........

..............who wants to buy a track from me?

No

It's a site where you can buy tracks made by someone else and market them as your own

and they even off the like/friends/plays packages to go with it... :rufknsrs:

Agreed.

How bout people focus on building their own career instead of someone elses. Hiding behind a ghost producer can only last so long anyway.

There is no point buying a fake track unless you have the fake fans and the fake purchases to go with it.

who said they have to be good tracks..i know blokes who can put together a basic track in a day, fx and master it that night. Nothing to be proud of (and he isnt) but just saying alot of cashed up wales will buy something that sounds well put together through a set of computer speakers.

And thats exactly it though. This type of site doesnt appeal to the professionals, because they can do their own stuff.

i will admit good tracks take longer, days, weeks, months etc but once you become experienced with the software, sure churning them out wouldnt be that hard?

as too price i reckon basic ones be going for 3-500 a piece with real good ones between 1 and 2k.

whats the saying go. ide rather have 100 dedicated followers to 1000 drones. i think the same goes for making tracks. ide rather be good at a few things, taking along time to do something right even if only at a basic level than to try and market something i dont understand.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and we are thrilled to be of assistance to you.

We would love to create an understanding of your productions though we are sure they are good considering the Beatport reference. Even though we still kindly request you send us links or small mp3 demos so we can assess and take things further. I hope you don't mind. Thanks

As per the distribution contract, 50% per track will be yours for the keeping and an preferred selling price can be given by you in written form to us. We do hold the right to change the price if required.

The track will if you wish also be linked to a publishing house created by us to ensure the best results and highest income even after the sale has been completed.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your time!

Best regards,

Your Producer Factory team

I didn't even mention beatport. Only asked how much per track. seems fishy....

sent this back to them anyway...

Hi,

I can't actually produce at all. I just want to get some stuff out there with my name. I'm sure I can pick some stuff up later if I make the big time

Thanks and we look forward to having tracks suited to you very very soon.

Best regards,
