russell
i used to play as part of a duo. Either just go 2 tunes each (or whatever number you like) or go baws oot and get 4 decks and 2 mixers
philallen11
So if we go 4 x 2 is it still 2 tunes each. Do we have to signal to each other saying I'm mixing it next or? How did you do it?
russell
nah, just let it flow. If you both agree to play 2, 3 or whatever number tunes then switch it'll just happen. the beauty of playing with someone else is you don't know what the other will play so it keeps you on your toes. Good laugh too.

GREMM1S
I play in a duo, we generally do 2 tracks and swap. For bigger gigs we go 1 for 1 and both smash the effects etc.Communication is the key!
Cupe
Can you stop dumping soundcloud links in your posts that aren't relevant to the thread? If you want someone to listen to a particular mix/track make a thread for it in The Music section. And yeah so we where thinking maybe doing 2 or 1 song each and while the other one mixes in the other does effects etc , is that how you guys do it? Adrian
Do it this way: one of you goes and lines up at the bar while the other drops as many tunes as it takes for him to get back. Swap and repeat.

Skank
ive been playing some gigs with a partner for a few years now, he specialises in rnb hiphop retro i play house etc, its a good relationship keeps us covered for whatever the night may bring, we both play every genre tho but in general we play for about an hour before swapping, or if the crowd swings and one of us are better suited to play for that crowd then we swap
