philallen11
Hey guys,I have a gig for a social, its going to be in a school hall and we are looking at 250+ peopleI don't really know much about speakers, which I probably should. I need to know if I should go for a set up with a) 4 tops and 2 subs or 2 tops and 1 sub.If A, is what you believe is the right set up, what should I do with sub set up. I have read that there can be interference/delay if not placed correctly but I wasn't sure it was talking about when DJing or a live band, so does this concept still apply. If so, how should I place the subs for best sound. I would rather do a option A) as louder is better hahaThanks guys.
GREMM1S
Interference an delay should be fine seeings you arent running a massive system. It's always hard to gauge but certainly better to have more than not enough, will depend on the brand and quality of your speakers too. philallen11
They will be 4 JBL tops and the 2 subs im not sure. They are amazing quality. Should i keep the subs together or each side of the tops?
AlexJ
You will have no travel with sound 2 tops 2 subs and rig tops on top of subs and turn down base range. Otherwise with 1 sub put it in front of you . With two no closer than 10 metres apart
