Boss101
Hey all, this is my first mix I have ever done. It's all pretty much freestyle and not pre-planned at all.I would love any feedback, I know it's very average but any tips would be good! I'm using this as a starting point and any progression from here will be great!Have a listen and let me know! Thanks. https://soundcloud.com/boss101-2/1stmix
GREMM1S
Man sounded ok to me, maybe a few phasing issues but nothing major.

Cupe
Intro was a bit too slow for me, and the song went nowhere (except into another song).Transitions seemed fine, you just need to work on the mix as a 'whole journey'. The energy went a bit all over the place if you get me.There was a good selection of tracks, I just don't think they all worked together as a whole. Also, when you're using bangers that are on the older end of the scale (I don't mean years old, I just mean older than the newer bangers) see if you can find an interesting remix or mash-up or something just to change it up a bit. Keep the punters interested. Not bad and good to see after all the info you sought for yourself in getting it done.Looking forward to seeing your progression. Kodiak
^^^ Well said. Agree with all of that after I had a listen today. Cool songs individually but a bit disjointed together. But this is an experience thing. For a first this was a pretty solid mix.
Boss101
The intro was just an acapella I want to try find a song it fits in nicely with.I'm going to start using mixed in key. I scanned all my songs the other day not all of them worked :/Thanks for the feedback. I wish I had more time so I could practise more. I want to start practising my transitions, different technique and tricks and scratching. Hopefully. Thanks!
