conCuss Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hey guys I was just wondering what everyone uses to chop their samples with? Can it be done in FL Studio 11 ? , or is it easier to use a program like Audacity Also I want to place the samples into my Maschine Thanks Quote
russell Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I just use ableton. If you have, say a 1 bar loop, you can set markers then slice it to a new midi channel and arrange any way you like. if I'm only looking for a one shot from a sample I just use abletons sampler device. Are you looking to load them into an MPC or that? Quote

yizzle Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I use FL Studio mate. The Edison plugin is really good for chopping samples.tons of stuff on youtube to give you a walk through Quote
wrxfiend Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 nah man! Maschine has the chopping part in it! just load your sample (full length original that you want to segment) push sampling button, then either hit slice, then edit the chunks or adjust your sample to the first chop you want, then duplicate onto another pad and edit it to be your second chop etc etc.http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... wrxfiend Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 the work flow is so good on Maschine, this took me about 5 mins to record the orig sample, chop it up and lay it over a beathttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200270992718811 Quote
Tomy Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 ableton plus maschine FTW they work really well together.most things you can do on maschine anyway but i find it quicker to do on ableton Quote
