also, i couldn't handle a 2 day festival... i'd need a week off work afterwards.

I think it is a good idea no matter which way they structure the line-up. Will be interesting to see the price difference between a 1 day and a 2 day.

Usually Adelaide and Melbourne are on the same day, so having 3 across 3 days will make it better for the performers.

Interestingly, it is on the same day as the bon jovi concert in melbourne. Not sure how many people this will effect, but personally I am going to be securing a bon jovi ticket before the 4th of July when the lineup comes out, and then make my decision later on.

In all seriousness though i don't think there's big enough venues in oz to make it a full continuous festival, I reckon it'll be the same lineup each day so the organisers can spread the amount of people that go over 2 days (remember how packed stereo in sydney was last year?)

either way im keen as phuck and me and my mate are achaly going to brisbane for it/getting a hotel and rooting brisbane sl00tz for teh l0lz

its not possible for them to do it that way

cause you have melbourne, adelaide and brisbane all having it on the same day

they wouldn't be able to get the artists from each city in time for the day

it'll be a big line up that goes across 2 days, not the same each day

and probably have longer set times, hopefully

i doubt anyone will play more than twice.

cause of what the dates are, chances are they have some play one day and those play in the other city the next day

so for example, sydney and perth. on the saturday the people playing in sydney will probably be playing in perth on the sunday

I don't understand what you mean by a big enough venue? It's two seperate days, the venues they have them at now are big enough. If anything you would want smaller venues to ensure both days are sell outs or close.

And as Styga says i think the lineups will be different as you couldnt have two days of four consecutive festivals with the same artists just wouldnt work.

“The greatest EDM line-up Australia has ever seen”: that’s what Stereosonic is promising for 2013. Earlier this month, the festival giant announced it was upsizing in a big way – to celebrate its fifth birthday, Stereo will be expanding to a two day event in every city. Now, Stereo’s revealed more info about its gargantuan 2013 edition, answering a range of questions about ticketing, key dates and site info.

Among the essential info? The mega-sized lineup will drop on Thursday July 4, with tickets on sale from August 1. A two-day ticket will set you back $199.95 and no, you can’t purchase a single day pass. There won’t be camping at the festival, and set times and maps will be available from early November. Last year, Stereo brought out an A-list cast of dance music’s biggest names. Does the festival go for 48hrs without a break?
