Stereosonic 2013

I know its an event cupe, but posted in here to get everyones thoughts about how they are running it this year

this year stereosonic will be going over 2 days in each state

but as some of you may notice, some of the cities have the same date

im assuming that in say sydney and perth, the artists playing on the saturday in sydney will be playing on the sunday in perth

they will have to make the line-up quite appealing for this to work, but either way its going to be a HUGE weekend

and will be interesting to see how many people can handle a 2 day festival in Australia

When I found out all these festivals only went for 1 day I was like wtf

2 days sounds more feasible

How I see it going down.

Pre-party > stereo > after party > kick on > stereo day 2 > kick on no. 2 then 2 day coma

it will all really depend on the line up

i know after 1 festival im pretty much in a coma for the next day, but im sure if the second day was going to deliver i would be able to get to it no worries

as for the ticket price comment, i wouldnt be surprised if they make the tickets ridiculously expensive now that its over 2 days. i cant see them throwing a second day without adjusting ticket prices

I dont see how two days makes it better, more potential for a lineup to be overstretched across two days.

Although it could help bring our more bigger names.

I just see it as 2x a normal stereo, only the second day is a mission because of being scat lol.

Would be sick if they target different genres on different days though.

Have a second mainstage full of trance would be nice on the second day or something.

i reckon you're onto something there, having certains for different genres, since there are so many these days

so you'd just be able to go to whatever stage to hear whatever genre you're feeling

if it just becomes 2 stereos on consecutive days (genres all over the place) i dont think itll work

I don't think they will split it. Many people will only be able to go one day. And it would be really annoying not having the variety on offer at one time.
