Robbo123
any type of cdj not pioneer that can be connected to vdj or serato. cheap aswell hehehe, something i can get second hand
GREMM1S
A few on here use Dennon's and Reloops. This subject will create alot of subjectivity, but i would still go older second hand pioneer models than any other brand personally.Bear in mind any cdj can be connected via timecode, the likes of some pioneer cdj 800 mk2s with serato would still be sick. SolDios
Anything can be connected to vdj by timecode.Seriously though, VDJ is a joke, It crashes more times than tracks in your library.
GREMM1S
Yeah don't use virtual dj man, there are plenty of better alternatives for any platform.
Robbo123
yeah or na?and serato is only 99 atm wb traktor?
Gandy
as grem has said you really are better off going with pioneer, not sure why you are speficially ruling them out, seeing as they are industry standard. A second hand pair of pioneer cdjs will be better than any new non-pioneer save maybe the re-loops
GREMM1S
yeah or na?and serato is only 99 atm wb traktor? Those are shithouse lol, played on them at lightsounds. The only bonus of those type models is that like the one pictured you will get more features like a nice screen and usb support. If you have your heart on traktor scratch or serato, 100% go some cdj800s or even cdj1000s can be had for reasonable prices. You can pick up a pair of decent 800's for like $600 if youre lucky. overit
also could somone explain to me timecodes. never really grasped the conceptTime code is a code embedded in an audio signal which you play from CDs in your CD player. You use the time code CDs in your player. The code tells the computer what speed and direction the CD is going. This means you can manipulate the CD deck and your computer can manipulate a digital file to match what you are doing on the CD player.Means that you can play all the files on your computer by selecting them on the computer, but not changing the disc in your CD player, as it is only a code. When you hear it as an audio signal it sounds like a phone call from a Fax machine. It is clearly part of the matrix
