i'm going to impliment the reputation system anyway.

when you +rep or -rep a post you will need to leave a comment as to why you have done so

it will at least be a good indication of how that user is seen in the community

i'm going to try and update the code over the weekend to add this module.

Overall, I think an admin invite is probably the best way to go, the rep module will just help with this

(plus it's cool to get +rep)

Admin/moderator decision of who gets in..

Obviously it wouldn't be some spamming troll with like 50 posts a day, lol. The VIP person would have to stand out from the rest of the crowd by doing something special, my thoughts.

Nothing wrong with 50 posts / 1000 posts a day as long as everything on topic and he doesn't bump super old threads imo

Post as much as you want about whatever you want

Obviously keep random shit to the offtopic area and like Jaytee says, if your posts are on topic, post a thousand a day :D

btw Jaytee, there is nothing wrong with bumping old threads.

Bumping threads is good practice in the froum community,

1. it keeps boards organised by not having dozens of similar threads and

2. it helps create traffic, because everyone who is subscribed to that thread will be encouraged to engage in conversation again.

3. this is especially true for threads containing mixes and songs. As you may know, threads can be missed, by bumping that thread, everyone get another look at it.

But yeah, some bumps CAN be extremely pointless and in this case the thread should be locked and let to filter on down into the bottom of the archives.

In my opinion it all depends on what is going to be able to have access in the VIP Section.

If it's really gonna be a great place for people to further themselves i.e bigger, better learning tools and information and an overall great place for (eventually) hundreds/thousands to share a stack of useful info without all the bullshit associated with a public system. Then really you should put a donation as a requisite.

If you pay for something you're gonna use it ten fold, you're contributions would be better because it's also a service people have spent some money on, people are gonna tolerate less bullshit, so the overall atmosphere will remain professional (Which i'm guessing is the whole idea).

Of course there are going to be exceptions, but thats just human nature. I definitely wouldn't mind investing a bit to something i know is gonna be useful in my betterment of DJ'ing as a whole.

Just my 2bob.

nice idea, but i don't think it's fair to hide good information from the general Aussie DJ'ing public just because someone richer than them can afford to access it.
