bonez99er Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Saturday 6th of April Chinese Laundry are very excited to be hosting the Sydney leg of The Grizzy Tour headlined by Mr Grizzly aka SINDEN (GRIZZLY - UK) & BRENMAR (GRIZZLY - USA)SINDENIt was almost impossible to miss Graeme Sinden's meteoric rise through the ranks of UK club music from the mid 2000s. He was a vital part of the new wave of UK club producers including Dave Taylor (Switch), Jesse Rose, Herve and Trevor Loveys whose open, collaborative and left-field approach spawned a phenomenally successful new wave of club music inspired by the jacking house of Chicago and NY mixed with bass heavy influences of UK jungle and garage. Huge releases on labels including Atlantic Jaxx, Made To Play, Domino, Mad Decent, Counterfeet and Man Recordings flowed while Sinden toured the world, proving himself to be an exceeding talented and popular DJ. In 2010 he launched Grizzly to further explore and reflect his taste for unexpected, fun and twisted club music. The label has been a hotbed of new talent launching the likes of Mele, Brenmar and Distal and hosting several releases from SBTRKT including two collaborations with Sinden himself. Recent production work has seen Sinden heavily involved on both sides of the Atlantic, remixing the likes of Willy Moon, Dr Gonzo, Gucci Mane and Passion Pit, not to mention producing Gucci Mane's mixtape, ‘Free Gucci 2’, featuring a who’s who of British producers including Hudson Mohawke, Toddla T, Duke Dumont, Mosca and Rustie each offering their own unique take on the biggest Gucci jams. Moving to the musical hotbed of Los Angeles in early 2012 has opened a plethora of exciting opportunities for Sinden and Grizzly and we can't wait to hear what he's been working on now.http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/sindenhttps://soundcloud.com/sindenhttps://www.facebook.com/graemesindenhttp://www.onmygrizzly.tv/BRENMARBrooklyn by way of Chicago based DJ and producer, Brenmar, represents a strange musical paradox. Somehow defying the odds, he marries the artificial gloss of commercial R’n’B with the urban grittiness of underground styles like Chicago footwork and UK bass. His releases on the Discobelle, Grizzly, and Enchufada labels have taken him to both coasts of the U.S., Canada Japan, and the EU – frenzying crowds with his up-tempo, neon- drenched tunes. Brenmar’s more ‘unofficial’ online releases have also been gobbled up by the taste-making blogs and DJs of the world. His recipe for success? Take a pinch of Mannie Fresh snares, a handful of DJ Rashad toms, a dose of basslines from the UK, a generous portion of Hot 97 vocalists, poach it all in a synthesizer broth, and garnish with some Timbaland sheen. You’re getting close.http://brenmar.biz/https://soundcloud.com/brenmarhttps://www.facebook.com/BBRENMARFull Line Up Sinden (UK) Brenmar (USA) A-Tonez Samrai AstrixFingers Brothers GrimmChenzo Ctrl Alt Delicious Sneaky Simon Barcom Ballers Doors Open 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm Quote
