heyshep Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I want to join the aria club chart. Is anyone on here apart of this? What does it involve? and how good/often do to have to play/where do i have to play to be considered? Quote
SolDios Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Correct me if Im wrong but I'm pretty sure it's more for #BIGTIME producers, you would need to make a track that goes absolutely viral to get on it too. (Also assuming were talking about this http://ariacharts.com.au/chart/club-tracks/157 )How good:Generally one of the best (By that I mean most popular)How often do I have to play:Not really relevant, the song itself is the main part.Where do I have to play:Not really relevant, the song itself is the main part. For the moment Id just focus on refining your skills, making mix tapes, talking to local dj's in the area ect. Mitch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 You don't have to be that big sol. I know a few who are on it who have less than 1k followers / likes. They just have monthly residencies @ clubs.think there is roughly 2-300 DJs in Aus that vote.As for the application process - not sure. May be more details on http://www.aria.com.auTomy will probably know the most about this (considering he is in the charts atm and probably votes too).Ps: Soldios - heyshep is already an established dj @ candy's in Sydney Quote
Mitch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 OK after searching for about 4 minutes i found thishttp://www.ariacharts.com.au/downloads/ ... ce2008.pdfall your questions are answered in that PDF:the main points include:-3 or more weekly residencies encouraged-ARIA member encouraged-Submitting a weekly top 20 chartApproval depends on what djs they need in the panel at the time (they apparently try to balance the djs across different styles to avoid skewing the charts). Saying that, the chart looks like it is primarily electro house djs to me, however there are some house dj's as well by the looks of it.that should answer everything Quote
