DJedidiah
I just bought 2 second-hand citronic pd45's. I want to run timecode as lugging around crates doesn't look appealing. My question is simple. Is the following package;http://www.djcity.com.au/dj-gear/digita ... vibes-packa decent soundcard and user friendly software?I've never used any mixvibes program and was wondering if anybody here uses it, if so please give me any positive or negative feedback. SSL is way out of my budget so please don't suggest it.ORwould it be in my best interest to purchase this package instead: http://www.djcity.com.au/dj-gear/digita ... vibes-pack I understand is a $200 price difference but im not exactly sure what the difference is between the two packagesAny feedback would be much appreciated. DJedidiah
Budget is <$300 Could potentially push my budget for traktor. Can anyone give advise on both TSP and mix vibes cross?
Mitch
I don't know of anyone who uses mixvibes time code. Record box is powered by mixvibes however (also is really buggy)Traktor is pretty much industry standard software (along with serato)
eggssell
wazza has used both so you may get lucky if he hops on.i have been using tsp since 2009. no real issues, just read the NI forums when they do upgrades and proceed w caution. ive upgraded maybe 2 or 3 times and had no real issues (there was one but that was my fault as the settings i needed to optimise for pro tools messed up settings i needed for tsp), but then again i am probably on a version 2 years old

wazza
I use mixvibes dvs 6-7 and mixvibes cross mixvibes dvs can do some amazing thing ....like play a VSTi with a midi key board ..and then record what you play into one the time code vinyl decks in the software so you can scratch it its got a good 16 pad mpc 4x4 sampler ...dvs is the old software ...its very stable ...but...there are no more updates ...the new software is cross........cross is dope... 8 midi divices ,8 apple wifi divicesits a plug in play for the pioneer cdj 2000 ,900, 850 ,400 and 350s under HID 14 bit midi...it use's the cdj sound card as the sound output....no need to plug your serato or traktor box to use HID on your cdj the track search engine in cross is very good .....so good pioneer use it for Rekord-boxthe sampler is good.... 8 pads for one deck and 8 for another, that can be link/sync by beat gride off the track playing in the deckone click sample cuting...as for the time code vinyl feels nice and tight with very little driff......scratchs sound nice....now can do video with video plug in.....scratching porn in HD with you turntableme on dvs 7....
