drak0sp
What are the main differences and why is the xone 92 considered better? I've googled this but still not sure.
Mitch
I have never used either, however from a quick read on the net this is what i found (all the below is quoted):-62, you can only assign one type of filter to both sides at any one time - as that's the only option. you can only select one filter at any one time. with the 92, you can select any of the 3 filters on either side to use at any time in any combination. so you can use HP on the left and LP on the right if you wanted. whereas 62 you'd have to use HP and HP, as there's not an option to do it otherwise. -the 92 has an active crossfader circuit and Penny & Giles fader so its good for scratching. The 62 only has a passive crossfader circuit so its not very responsive for cutting.-The 92 has a crossfader curve rotary pot where as the 62 only has a button to select sharp or soft corssfader curve. russell
The biggest difference for me is the filter. You have a lot more control over them in the 92. 92 has an extra aux sendHas 2 independent stereo output
russell
ps: I've used both and much prefer the 92. I will be buying one this year. Although the DB4 looks like some bit of kit.
drak0sp
thanks for the info guys, might be getting one second hand for $1k tonight. Providing he follows through and that the mixer isn't totally fucked. The DB series for allen & heath look like pretty mean pieces of equipment, pricey though.
