New Signing, New Album ... What Next?!

Rousing from their long and restless slumber, helmeted French duo Daft Punk have finally begun their long-anticipated return to glory. First announced by second-largest regional French news outlet, Le Parisien, the dance music legends have left their old signing with EMI to join forces with Sony and their subsidiary Columbia Records. Having cultivated secrecy since their very inception, the official status of this new contract is as of yet unconfirmed; however, their first official release since Human After All (2005) is now slated for Spring of 2013!

Although the mystery continues, it is now quite clear that Daft Punk is gearing up for their next big play, and we are extremely excited for whatever this news may bring!

Last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live featured an advert for the beyond-hyped new album by Daft Punk.

Said advert featured 15 seconds of new music, presumably by the group, and the internet has predictably exploded.

You can stream said 15 seconds – which, it has to be said, certainly sounds like Nile Rodgers may have had a hand in – below, keep up to date with the rest of the Daft Punk rumour mill here, and listen to a recently unearthed DJ set from the group’s Thomas Bangalter here.

and at the end of that video there was this one.. Dunno if it is a leaked track or not. doesn't sound much like the clip above.
