overit Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 so many problems, from dodgy ceilings to dangerous electrics, cold weather making plaster take weeks to go off, and an industrial accident along the way... but i am finally open for business. Technics 1210s, CDJ 900s, Traktor Scratch Pro, Traktor 2.5, Serato dj, Numark Mixtrack, numark NS6 (not in pics) Itch, ableton and reason. Not forgetting this is part of my crews venue so the other side of the corridor is a fully fitted nightclub with 6K DandB sound system... and a bar. Will be aiming to film a walkthrough for you all, and I still have to get all the music prod and sponsorship equipment added, but here's the bare bones of my new room with just my own gear.and here's how it looked a month or two ago:Now I can finally start working through my backlog of bookings. OxyKon Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Nice work dude, that really does look good, hope the people using that gear know how to take care of it, unlike a certain place I know of Quote
overit Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 ^thanks allNice work dude, that really does look good, hope the people using that gear know how to take care of it, unlike a certain place I know of i Saw yer other thread too and feel you mate.Luckily for me the people who use this gear have no idea how to take care of it... but by the time they stop visiting me for tuition they sure as hell know how to take care of it, and use it, properly Quote
Cupe Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 fuck what a transformation great effort, full support from ADJF if there's anything you need Quote
overit Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 ^Cheers Boss! I actually do want my students to know about adjf coz it's so useful on DJ knowledge... but due to the tits and arse and drugs and stuff (even on avatars lol!) I cannot achally recommend them at you or have links without someone somewhere getting upset. If they ever started using the forum I'd need to hide my face and antics too coz they can't be telling their parents about my extra curriculars...But: Posters for the walls and stickers for the shiny apples on the back of the computers would be nice, and might just help the kids find a useful DJ forum without my help... Quote
GREMM1S Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Just a thought Cupe is all the help/info boards publicly accessible?I'm sure it is but would be a decent way of ensuring people can see all that stuff without all the offtopic stuff if they havnt signed up. Quote
Cupe Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Some stuff is public, other stuff isn'tSign out and try for yourself Quote
wazza Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I might have something ( new dj software ) for your dj school..........You will be able to run it by HID midi on your cdj 900....and by time code vinyl using you AUDIO 8 sound card Quote
overit Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 ^nice 1 wazza.I think I may have to keep the school using publicly available software so the kids can feel comfortable using what their mates are using... but I look fwd to developments on this and the midi controller you mentioned on the other fred... Just coz I have to teach kids on stuff they see their mates using it doesnt mean I'm not interested myself.do you have a thread open anywhere so I can get more info? Quote
