Mitch Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 For all you mobile ADJF users, Tapatalk 2 is out for iPhone and androidFeatures a new UIonly thing it's lacking at the minute is moderator functions (which only will affect staff anyway) and this is apparently being fixed, so feel free to upgrade if you desireIt is released as a separate app so feel free to grab it on the app / play store of you desire Quote
yizzle Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Ye grabbed it yesterday. Honestly I can hardly tell. Diff. Quote
Mitch Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Not sure with android version, but iPhone one is complete revamp Quote
Mitch Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Seems to work pretty smoothly. It uses a more modern UI kinda like the new Facebook app. Also has a timeline feature so you can read from newest to oldest post and they stay in the list after you've read them. So definitely some improvements in useNot necessary to buy, but I got it while it was on special for 99c Quote
Kodiak Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Some changes (I am finding) but will work them out. Will frustrate me going between v2 and v1 (HD on iPad) though. Quote
Kodiak Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Took me a while to find the "participated" and "new" sections. But I am liking what I see so far. Quote
Mitch Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 It will be good when they add moderator features. As I said it doesn't affect you, but it's annoying using the new app then switching back if i need to moderate at allBesides that the only other thing would be the next / previous page buttons. When they aren't there, they show up when scrolling. They should disappear when scrolling and be there when not scrolling.I read their support forum a bit and these are all things they are fixing in updates though, so all good Quote
Kodiak Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I kinda like the next page buttons. They disappear when you are trying to read the page and come back when you touch the screen. Nice not having to scroll all the way back to the top or bottom to change page too. Quote
Mitch Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Yer I like where they are I just think they need to refine when they are / aren't displayed Quote
Mitch Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 This now had iPad support according to change log Quote
OxyKon Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 iPad version works quite well, i use it all the time Quote
Mitch Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 iPad version works quite well, i use it all the timeBut are you using the old tapatalk hd or the new v2 on the ipad? Quote
OxyKon Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 oh right yeah im still using the original lol, my bad Quote
Mitch Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 it's universal binary now, so you only need to buy the app once and it will work on your iphone and ipad.So if you've already upgraded to tapatalk v2 on the iphone you'll be able to install it for free on the ipad.Grab it from here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/tapatal ... 78888?mt=8 Quote
