russell Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 So i've heard a few stories in recent times of DJ's such as Mark Farina and Magda being told to stop playing as they're music didn't suit the clubs policy. Shocking enough that these whales book the DJ's in the first place then tell them to stop. However, none more shocking that kicking DJ Shadow off the decks so the resident can get back on. Too futuristic apparently. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=4681504391869 Quote

mattus123 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 im guessing half hte club punters didnt know/care who shadow was, and just wanted to hear the latest remix of somebody i used to know and levels Quote
styga Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 promoters should do some research before they go booking people, if the music doesnt suit the club, don't book them, simple as Quote
overit Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 the bigger the industry the more basic the common denominator becomes Quote
lloydc Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 the whole 'bottle service' crowd can go and fucking neck themselves.shit like that makes me angry. Quote
yizzle Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 if the crowd wants it.. problem?fair enough if ppl were walking out the door (which they may have) but geeze... its one night on the promo's behalf. on a side note, fucking unprofessional for the club to stop the DJ mid set and say "shut up" imo. Wasn't quite the standard of the Mansion, but still. They let him play out regardless. Same with DJ Rectangle and now I hear Revolution is playing somewhere there too. I wouldn't ask either of them to step off stage.Promoters gotta do their market research. Quote
