ryaank Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 how do you go about making melodies like this?I'm having trouble finding anything on the net as this is the sound i'm looking forcheershttps://soundcloud.com/havoc-original/h ... t-originalhttps://soundcloud.com/jack-lefty-roney ... e-that-ass Quote
LabRat Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What do you mean?If its the sounds you're looking for then it's just trial and error in your preferred vst synth or you can sample it. Making a melody is something you need to be creative about. From dictionary.comDefinition of melody;" the succession of single tones in musical compositions, as distinguished from harmony and rhythm" Quote
ryaank Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 i'm not saying i want to copy them i'm just saying that's the sound that i'm looking for. Most of the Melbourne sound is like that and it's unique, hence, it's hard to find tutorials or anything on that note that's even close to what it is i'm trying to do. I know most of the produces are probably self taught but thought i may as well ask. Can anyone steer me in the right direction of how to go about what it is i'm trying to make haha would be greatly appreciated. Some written/video tutorials or just advice.Cheers Quote
GREMM1S Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Maybe try searching for popular melb style tracks with abelton/fl studio remake on youtube Quote
mattus123 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Im assuming ur talking about the part from :30 - 1:00From what i can hear, the synth is doing most of the work, the actual melody sounds very basic (1 repeated note, or just a quick asscending/descending scale) Quote
