GREMM1S Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 They created electro, they were also the big players to bring sampling of non dance genres to dance music. Quote

Scottie Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Is he talking influence on EDM or production and skill wise? Quote
russell Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Let's be honest. Daft Punk basically just copied Kraftwerk and took it to another level. Perhaps not so much musically (although they were clearly a massive influence on them) but with the whole identity thing. robots n that..Kraftwerk: Man/MachineDaft Punk: Human/RobotKinda got the same vibe goin on there.... both fuckin awesome though. russell Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 but also yes, prodigy are better.Having seen both of them live I'd have to disagree with that. And I've got mad love for both of them. I still rate 'No Good (Start the Dance) as the track that cemented my love for electronic music. Quote
overit Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 ^fair play, never seen daft punk live, only heard them in the distance at glasto '97.But seen prodigy from very close up and they rocked my world."No good" is truly a milestone Quote
mattus123 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 never been a real fan of daft punk, i like there stuff but dont love ithaving said that... i cant deny them of the credit that they deserve as pioneers of the EDM we listen to today Quote
